Students from socially disadvantaged communities in Raigad are invited to apply for the Anna Bhau Sathe Incentive Scholarship Scheme, which is awarded every year on the birth anniversary of the legendary social reformer and writer, Lokshahir Anna Bhau Sathe.
As per District Manager Ravindra B. Dhanur of the Anna Bhau Sathe Development Corporation (Ltd.), the top 1 to 3 or 5 meritorious students from each eligible community in the district may receive the scholarship, depending on fund availability.
This incentive is awarded to students belonging to the Mang, Matang, Mini-Madig, Mading, Dankhani Mang, Mang Mahashi, Madari, Radhe-Mang, Mang Garudi, Mang Goradi, Madgi, and Madiga communities, who have passed Class 10, 12, undergraduate, postgraduate, medical, or engineering courses in the academic year 2024-25 with more than 60% marks.
Eligible students must submit a handwritten application along with the following documents:
- Marksheet for the academic year 2024-25
- School leaving certificate
- Caste certificate
- Admission receipt for the next academic year
- Ration card
- Aadhaar card
