“He was not just a leader of Maharashtra but a national icon. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi draws inspiration from him in dealing with external threats like Pakistan.”
Shinde underlined that, despite the advancement of technology, Shivaji Maharaj’s legacy will never fade.
“The state government has decided to preserve forts and temples associated with his reign. To promote tourism and reconnect citizens with Shivaji Maharaj’s heritage, we have launched the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit Train under the Bharat Gaurav initiative,” he said.
This special train was flagged off today by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
