Drone and CCTV Repair Training Program Inaugurated in Raigad under Collector Kishan Jawale’s Presence

A training program on drone-based systems and CCTV camera maintenance and repair was inaugurated today at the District Industries Centre in Alibag, Raigad. The event was organized jointly by the District Industries Centre, Raigad-Alibag, and the Maharashtra Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (MCED), Raigad, in the esteemed presence of District Collector Kishan Jawale.

The program was attended by Vijaykumar Kulkarni, Lead District Manager (Bank of India), G.S. Haralya, General Manager (District Industries Centre), Chaitanya Mood, Manager (Bank of Baroda), and Sanjay Gole, District Coordinator (State Bank of India).

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Kishan Jawale emphasized the growing role of drone technology in agriculture, especially in activities like pesticide spraying. He announced plans to hold farmers’ meetings to educate them on the benefits of drone-based pesticide spraying to improve mango yields.

Highlighting the region’s tourism potential, the Collector noted that CCTV cameras have been installed in various locations across the district to enhance public safety. Given Raigad’s natural beauty and its appeal to tourists, safe and scenic beaches can significantly boost tourism. The CCTV repair training will open new employment opportunities for youth, he added.

He further stated that both the drone and CCTV sectors offer immense entrepreneurial potential, and the district administration is committed to promoting skill training and enterprise development in these areas.

During his welcome speech, G.S. Haralya said that being a tourism-focused district, Raigad offers ample opportunities for drone-based enterprises, and the maintenance and repair of CCTV systems also provide significant employment prospects. The training will empower unemployed youth to launch their own ventures, he said.

On the occasion, food vans sanctioned under the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Program and Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program were handed over to beneficiaries by Collector Jawale.

The program began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and witnessed a large turnout of trainees.
