Citizens Urged to Avail Services Offered by the Transport Department

Raigad (Information Office), April 24:
To ensure timely and transparent delivery of government services to citizens across Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Right to Public Services Act, 2015 was enacted and has been in effect since April 28, 2015. Under this Act, a total of 115 services provided by the Transport Department are covered. Assistant Regional Transport Officer of Panvel, Mr. Nilesh Dhote, has appealed to citizens to take full advantage of these services.

All services are made available through the Transport Department’s official website: https://parivahan.gov.in. Notably, 89 of these services have been launched in a faceless format, meaning citizens are not required to physically visit the office. Instead, they can submit their applications and complete related formalities online via the official portal.

This initiative aims to promote efficiency, reduce bureaucracy, and ensure citizens receive essential transport-related services with ease and convenience.
