Govt Industrial Institute Panvel Calls For Scrap Bids From GST-Registered Buyers

Sealed Tender Process Announced For Sale Of Obsolete Machinery And Scrap Items

The Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Panvel has invited sealed tenders from GST-registered buyers for the sale of obsolete, damaged, and unusable materials stored across various departments. This public auction targets outdated machinery, metal scrap, and industrial remnants deemed unfit for use.

The items to be sold include MS scrap, copper scrap, aluminium scrap, tube strip remnants, and casting job leftovers, among others. These are categorized as training-related disposals, and the materials will be sold “as-is-where-is”.

According to the official notice issued by Principal N.K. Chaudhary, only GST-registered buyers are eligible to participate. Tender documents can be purchased at ₹300 (non-refundable) from the ITI Panvel office between 26 June and 5 July 2025, during working hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding holidays.

To submit a valid bid, participants must:

  • Fill in the official tender form precisely,
  • Attach a ₹3,000 security deposit in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of Registrar, Industrial Training Institute Panvel, Dist-Raigad,
  • Submit the sealed envelope to the institute by 5 July 2025 at 5:00 PM.

The tenders will be opened at 11:00 AM on 7 July 2025 in the presence of committee members and institute officials. The highest qualifying bid will be accepted for each lot, subject to scrutiny.

Authorities have retained full rights to cancel or modify the tender process without prior notice.

This move is expected to clear out redundant inventory while bringing modest revenue to the government institution. Local scrap dealers and industrial recyclers in Raigad district are likely to benefit from this opportunity, particularly those specializing in metal recycling and secondary raw material processing.
