Public Health Minister Prakash Abitkar
Mumbai, 24th: Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Prakash Abitkar has directed that proposals be submitted to modernize the infrastructure and equipment in all hospitals under the State Employees’ Insurance Scheme using advanced technology.
Minister Abitkar gave these instructions during a review meeting held at the headquarters of the State Employees’ Insurance Scheme. Present at the meeting were Medical Director Dr. Shashi Kolhapurkar, Director (Administration) Soham Wayal, Deputy Director Sachin Desai, and medical officers from various state insurance hospitals.
Minister Abitkar stated that necessary measures should be taken to extend the benefits of the Employees’ Insurance Scheme to ration shopkeepers, cooperative institution employees, and teachers. He also urged health officials to organize health camps and improve facilities to increase patient numbers in hospitals.
The government will provide necessary funds for equipment and materials, and vacant positions will be filled promptly. Emphasis will also be placed on introducing modern facilities like dialysis. Officials have been instructed to work responsibly and efficiently.
A follow-up review will be conducted after one month, and action will be taken against officials if progress is unsatisfactory.
Higher and Technical Education Department’s Dashboard Inaugurated by Minister Chandrakant Patil
Mumbai, 24th: A “Dashboard” has been developed by the Higher and Technical Education Department to provide consolidated information on universities and colleges in the state. It was inaugurated by Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil at the ministry.
The dashboard includes details on admissions, results, scholarships, hostels, fees, and library facilities. Currently, it covers 26 public universities and the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, with plans to include private universities in the future.
Minister Patil stated that the dashboard will aid in policy-making and ensure quality education. Artificial intelligence will be used for data analysis.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Women and Child Development Department, police, and district administration. Dr. Gorhe emphasized rehabilitation, legal action, and coordination among agencies.

The award includes a cash prize of ₹1 crore, a citation, and a certificate. The panchayat was recognized for initiatives like solar energy adoption, plastic ban, and biodiversity conservation.

Maharashtra Government’s Bonds Worth ₹6,500 Crore to be Auctioned
Mumbai, 24th: The Maharashtra government will auction bonds worth ₹6,500 crore with tenures of 12 to 15 years to fund development projects.
- 12-year bonds: ₹2,000 crore (Maturity: 30 April 2037)
- 13-year bonds: ₹2,000 crore (Maturity: 30 April 2038)
- 14-year bonds: ₹1,500 crore (Maturity: 30 April 2039)
- 15-year bonds: ₹1,000 crore (Maturity: 30 April 2040)
The auction will be held on 29 April 2025 via RBI’s e-Kuber system. Interest will be paid semi-annually.
These bonds qualify for Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
