📍Raigad, The Sub-Divisional Officer of Alibag, Shri Mukesh Chavan, has appealed to all affected landholders in Mauje Shahapur, Taluka Alibag, to submit their consent agreements by June 20, 2025. The process is part of the land acquisition initiative to provide temporary (WBM) road access to M/s. Appi Synarmas Company Ltd. via the existing PWD road.
As per the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, 1961, land in Mauje Shahapur is being acquired for road access to the Shahapur-Dherand and Dherand-Shahapur industrial areas. A total area of 22.08.39 hectares is being acquired for the access route, while an additional 2.96.40 hectares is being acquired specifically to provide temporary connectivity for the aforementioned company.
The Hon’ble High-Power Committee approved compensation for the acquired land at a rate of ₹96,69,554 per acre or ₹2,41,73,886 per hectare, as of February 7, 2025.
Accordingly, under Section 33(3) of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Act, 1961, notices have been issued to affected landholders to facilitate compensation disbursement through consent agreements. Several landholders have already submitted their agreements at the Sub-Divisional Officer’s office in Alibag. As per the agreement, their compensation amounts have been directly transferred to their bank accounts via RTGS/NEFT.
Those landholders who agree with the compensation rate approved by the High-Power Committee are requested to visit the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Alibag, and submit their consent agreements in person at the earliest
